The study will record and assess the changes and outcomes in patient care across the whole of gynae cancer patient pathway, from getting symptoms investigated through to receiving cancer treatment.
The current coronavirus pandemic has had a huge affect on every aspect of the gynae cancer pathway, and it is a very stressful and worrying time for anyone who has any gynae symptoms or is facing a cancer diagnosis. It is important to try and monitor the impact these changes are having on patients, and UKCOGS plans to do just that.
Eve funded researchers, Professor Ranjit Manchanda and Professor Sadaf Ghaem-Magahami, and colleagues are leading this study across the UK.
They are inviting all centres that treat gynaecological cancers to take part. We are supporting this study, along with the British Gynaecological Cancer Society, The Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists, The National Cancer Research Institute, Ovacome, Target Ovarian Cancer, Jo’s Trust, Ovarian Cancer Action and GO Girls.
