Steps for getting started:
- To get started, pick your time and place. You could pick a memorable date and somewhere special to take on your challenge.
- Sign up and register your details so you can get your Eve t-shirt. The team can then get in touch to support you and give you any extra information you may need to help you get started with the challenge.
- Let everyone know! Spread the news far and wide about your 21 Miles In Memory with friends, family and colleagues. You are doing something amazing by honouring your loved one’s memory. You could even gather a group and take it on together.
Top tips for fundraising
Fundraising can feel daunting, especially if it isn’t something you’ve done before. Some of our top tips for fundraising include:
- Kicking off your fundraising with a small donation of your own can be a great way to get things moving and begin raising funds.
- Sharing updates and progress with your friends, family and colleagues is a great way to raise awareness of your challenge and let them know how you are getting on
- Don’t worry about the big numbers, as there is no minimum fundraising target for 21 Miles In Memory, however much you raise will be greatly appreciated, big or small.
- You could think about doing some smaller activities as part of, or before you take on your 21 Miles. For example hosting a bake sale or quiz.
